La oficina Municipal de Carabanchel ha estado presente en la Jornada «Salud e Inmigración : Enfoques y Retos ante las desigualdades que tuvo lugar el lunes 27 de noviembre, desde las 9:00 hasta las 14:30 horas, en el Colegio Médico de Madrid. Esta jornada se organizó en colaboración con Barrios Saludables y Madrid Salud, y financiada por el Ministerio de Empleo y Seguridad Social y Fondo de Asilo, Migración e Integración de la Unión Europea.
Se trata de un espacio de encuentro, reflexión y construcción compartida de propuestas de mejora, destinado a profesionales sociosanitarios de la red de salud de la Comunidad de Madrid, especialmente para aquellos que trabajen con población migrante o en entornos de diversidad cultural, con el fin de identificar y transferir buenas prácticas.
El objetivo fue identificar las principales desigualdades en salud que afectan a la población inmigrante y elaborar recomendaciones en materia de gestión de la diversidad en este ámbito.
La Jornada constó de una ponencia de introducción y marco de referencia inicial realizada por D. Javier Segura, experto en desigualdades sociales en salud. Subdirector General de Salud del Servicio de Promoción y prevención de la salud de Madrid Salud, después se pasó a Mesas temáticas para la participación y intercambio de opiniones y experiencias ,finalmente se pusieron en común en un plenario final.
