Los alumnos y las alumnas de Español de la Oficina de Tetuán recordaron ayer el Día Internacional de la Alfabetización, que se celebra cada 8 de septiembre a partir de su aprobación en 1965 por parte de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO).
Durante la celebración se resaltó la importancia de reconocer la alfabetización como un derecho humano fundamental para el crecimiento individual y social de toda persona, se proyectó un vídeo y se hizo lectura en varios idiomas del mensaje de la Directora General de la UNESCO Irina Bokova.
La celebración culminó con mensajes de paz, respeto y solidaridad que los y las participantes escribieron en sus distintos idiomas.
