La pobreza sigue siendo una trágica realidad para un número demasiado grande de mujeres y hombres de todo el mundo. Esta realidad se traduce en una vida diaria de hambre, privación y enfermedad, que merma los derechos y la dignidad humanos y arroja sombras sobre el desarrollo de sociedades enteras.
El Día Internacional para la Erradicación de la Pobreza que ha sido observado cada año, a partir de 1993, desde su declaración por la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas con el propósito de sensibilizar y promover mayor conciencia sobre las necesidades para erradicar la pobreza y la indigencia en todos los países.
Con este motivo, las Oficinas Municipales de Tetuán y de Carabanchel en colaboración con la Fundación RAIS realizarán talleres de sensibilización y voluntariado, centrados en visibilizar la situación de las personas en situación de indigencia y promocionar que la sociedad en general y a las y los usuarios de las oficinas en particular para que participen en actividades de apoyo a las personas sin hogar.
